JO TURNER
Since I was 8 years old, I have been involved with horses who provided me with an escape from a  complicated home life.  Horses non verbal and non judgemental nature provided me a safe place to grow.

After much research and time I chose to study  at  "Coaching with Horses"  led by Kathy Pike.  The course was life changing for me especially in relation to my personal development and wellbeing. The course complemented my training in Therapeutic Crisis Intervention and Therapeutic Life Story Work, Best of all I am now able to offer horse coaching in a unique and natural environment.

Along side my horse coaches, I am now able to share this unique  journey and asssit clients in resetting to enable the life they wish to live

DOLLY

Dolly is a 5 year old Australian Riding Pony. Dolly loves hanging out with humans and also like to do things in her own time.  Dolly is a blue roan and you can see a tinge of blue in her at certain angles and light.

Dolly was brought to be a therapy pony for a lady who had a series of brain surgeries, Dolly did an excellent job and her owner was delighted that she can continue in this role at Way of the Horse Coaching.

Dolly loves nothing more than a good laugh! She has fitted into the herd and hangs out with Winston and Chance.

CHANCE
Chance is a 10 year old Australian Riding Pony.  The smallest in the herd, Chance arrived at Way of the Horse Coaching as a feral pony and would now allow humans near him.  3 years later Chance is one of our best teachers and extremely sensitive to how clients are feeling.

Chance is an excellent "Way of the Horse Coach" and has connected and worked with many different clients.  Chance is so good at reminding people about boundaries and being sensitive to what he needs.

Chance loves a scratch on the neck and the back!

WINSTON

Winston is a  7yr standard bred and joins the Way of the Horse Coaching herd after a long search for our third horse. Winston has the kindest nature and is a gentle giant.

When you meet Winston it is hard to believe that he was one of the fastest trotter! Winstons loving nature is a reflection of his previous owners who bred him and developed a wonderful hones and trusting relationship with him.   Winston loves working at Way of Horse Coaching and if he is not involved in a session will somehow attract attention until someone got and stands with him.  Winston also loves a scratch behind his ears

Winston is the boss of the herd but a very gentle boss!

HAZEL
Hazel is everyones friend, she has smile for everyone and just loves hanging out wth people!  Hazels passion for chasing a ball provides a welcome distraction for some of our young people who may feel a little daunted by the horses.

Mum & Baby
These guys often call by and sit and watch sessions! The horses are used to them being around and always let us know they are there by standing and starring at them!

Male baby koalas have to fend for themselves from the age of 6 months!
