A young person standing in the arena with all the horses loose around him The young person is guided through a body scan as he draws his attention to his arms one of the horses touches his arm, as he draws his attention to his nose another horse touches his nose. The young person was in awe and insisted doing it again in the next session and it happened again the horses touching the part of his body that he draw his attention to!
A very angry young person who was able to regulate, and understand the process of regulating, when she realised that her anger would impact the horse, from angry to calm and horse cuddles.
The non verbal autistic young person who began talking to his favourite horse Winston and is now talking in with others in the group session.
Visualising connecting with the horses enabled one young person to understand her ability to achieve what she put her mind, her confidence blossomed.
We are so grateful to our horses and the young people who put their trust in us, we are so privileged to work in this wonderful environment. Pop over to our website to find out more about what we do.
We have limited space for term 3, we will be offering a weekly group session for individual students. Call Jo 0434201106 or email jo@wayofthehorsecoaching.com.
